Early in the first quarter, #3 Trey Lubin (TN Tech) sets the edge against the roll out running QB from UNH.

Setting the edge isn’t so easy when a big guy is holding you up by the shirt and shoulder pads, but not to worry Rohan Davy catches up to the QB from the backside.

Strong safety #5 Jordan Campbell (Sacred Heart) puts his arm in between the ball and arm of the receiver. Will it work?

Oh, ya, just like Jordan was coached! (Easier said than done – that’s for sure). A great defensive play. Two superb athletes in competition for the ball.

Coach Brandon Hull in white jersey gets help signaling the defensive secondary positioning for the next play.

The hand was up in the last photo, but downward in this photo, showing the ball actually blocked in mid-air. There are a lot of white jerseys in the picture.

The UNH QB, Matt Vezza had Vezza,Matt led the Wildcats with 16 rushes for 62 yards, he was sacked twice. He is a hard player to bring down, here Rohan Davy with AJ Pena in pursuit take care of business.

Looking downfield and uating his run option, Devin Farrell was superb this day against UNH. There is more of him running coming up!

Antwain Littleton Jr, the ball carrier, follows his tight end, number 87 Will Dixon from Hillsborough NJ (West Virginia).

Number 65, Christian Smith from Rumson, NJ (Merrimack) played a big role for the OL rushing game blocking scheme.

And who comes through? Let me tell you, Devin Farrell has closing speed! Right now, I am already backing up!

Devin also threw for 164 yards besides running for 61 yards himself. It was a balanced attack orchestrated by the offensive coordinator Mike Flanagan. Imagine the nerve it takes to stand there in the pocket while a freight train is fast approaching? Every lineman should take a turn to know what it feels like!

Special teams blocking helped Garth White hit 5 of 5 PAT’s. OL Nick Thomas (BC) takes on one defender while watching Christian take on UNH #13.

#79 Brock Bethea; 6-5, 305 is the anchor in the OL. There is so much that goes on in the “trenches” – a pity that the fans can’t quite get this view,, but that’s why I upload these pictures.

Brendan Barrow, via Standford U, had a breakout day. To say he was sensational isn’t hyperbole. He had 111 yards rushing and 2 TD’s! His longest run was for 28 yards – into the endzone.

And Garth with another PAT. Late in the game, he had a bone crunching tackle on a kickoff return – the receiver had already crossed the 40 yard line when Garth laid down the lumber! The place holder is punter #46 James Allen.

End of the first half approaches with a RI TD by Barrow, the lead for RI was 3 at half time. But the third quarter belonged completely to UNH

The start of something very special brought to you by your URI RAMS and Brendon Barrows. The balanced run / pass offense is difficult to stop.

The TD by Barrow brought the Rams back to a 3 point deficit at the start of the 4th Qtr.

Now the defense had to stop UNH from scoring any more points, #53 Moses Meus, from our own Pawtucket, RI (St. Ray’s) had an immense game, more of him coming up!

and Meus had help, RI made a bigger effort this week to swarm to the ball.

It’s the job of the defense to stop the offense. URI has the best defense in the league in allowing the fewest points per game (second in league play). But every week they have to prove that all over again.

The QB from UNH raised heck with the secondary all afternoon but he had no rushing TD’s as he did against Villanova the previous week.

It is a very physical ‘game’. You have to really love competition to be on the gridiron at this level of play. Sometimes it looks like demolition derby but without vehicles.

Littleton breaks free…as the 4th qtr wore on, the players start to tired out. But the OL loves it when they have a strong RB like Antwain.

An offense holding penalty and a defensive block below the waist cancelled each other out, and the big gain was brought back to the line of scrimmage. Antwain has had this happen more than once this season.

Marquis Buchanan goes in motion, the footwork is critical here. The number one receiver had two catches – both for big yardage fist downs. I am sorry not to have one of those catches, but his two grabs kept RI moving down the field. Every play is important, first down catches are big.

This is the 2nd in the series, notice Marquis going along the line, and it appears that Farrell is going to hand off to Barrow.

Wow, this was an amazing run. Explosive. Daring. Calculated, not because Devin had nothing else to do with the ball. Fans – really treated to something to remember and I am thrilled and appreciative to have taken these photos.

in 3:49:07, just 1 second later, it is calamity for the brave UNH QB. AJ Pena against their best OL tackle doesn’t give up the edge, Moses Meus (Thunder) came crashing in, the QB had no where to go, hitting into his own lineman and Pena. The ball came flying out. What a time for a fumble!

Rohan Davy (Lightning) scoop up the ball and never hesitated to go for the endzone. Followed by URI’s DJ Cureton – not taking any chances they both race toward pay dirt.

With the PAT, URI put up 21 points in the fourth quarter, operating all cylinders almost for the first time all season. This is Ram’s football at its best.

URI v UNH 2025 Cureton still has to ensure there isn’t some kind of ‘miracle (for UNH) comeback. The Wildcats keep playing hard right to the last second.
