In front of a roaring Rhody crowd and a playoff atmosphere that felt like a rumbling wave coming off Narragansett Bay, the Rhode Island Rams officially kicked off their 2025 FCS Playoff run with a 27–19 statement win over Central Connecticut State. And make no mistake, this one had all the makings of a team that believes its run is just getting started.

EARLY SURGE: RHODY CAME OUT SWINGING
Quarterback Devin Farrell didn’t just show up, he unleashed.
365 yards. Two Touchdowns.
His 54-yard missile to Omari Walker sent Meade Stadium into pure chaos, the kind of eruption you feel in your chest. Rhody punched CCSU right in the mouth early, jumping to a 14–7 lead and never letting go.
Then it was Antwain Littleton Jr.’s turn.
A downhill, smashmouth run straight into the end zone, followed by the ever-steady Garth White drilling a field goal to make it 24–7 at the half.
The Rams didn’t just lead — they dominated.

THE FOURTH-QUARTER FIGHT
Credit to Central Connecticut — they threw their best haymakers late. A 25-yard TD pulled the Blue Devils close… until Dontay Bishop said nope and blew up the PAT with a monstrous block that shook the sideline.
That was the spark URI needed.
CCSU kept coming, cutting the lead to eight, but Rhody responded like a playoff team should — calm, composed, and clutch. Farrell marched the offense down the field, and Garth White’s 26-yard field goal pushed it back to 27–16 with five minutes left.
The Blue Devils tried to rally one last time. They got a field goal. They got the ball back.
But they didn’t get past Rhody’s wall.
Time ran out.
The Rams did not.
